Album Design Project

Album Cover and Vinyl design for the song Dance PM by Hirosi Yoshimura. I focused on the pensive nature of the song and built a world for it to exist in, feeling both quiet and energetic at the same time. I thought a lot about color, line quality, and the type.

Album Remix Project

Album Cover and Vinyl design for the song Thrown by Kiasmos. I manipulated 3D bubbles designed by Wenxian Shi to create a texture to use for my sleeve. I focused on color and movement to visually describe how the song felt to me.

Editorial Design Project

“The Female Glaze” is a publication highlighting the work of women ceramics artists that also focuses on answering questions pertaining to the representation of women in the field. .

Album Design Project

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Welcome back to the halls of the CalArts Graphic Design Program, newly digitized and soaked in #0000ff blue. After over a year of physical distance, we wanted to build this website as an attempt to recapture a fragment of the magic that lives in these halls you know (or don’t)… Instead of presenting the End of Year Show as a direct gallery, our dedicated team of digital craftspeople have meticulously redrawn some of the most meaningful areas of the design department and pinned the work of our peers across the halls, studios, and production spaces we remember so dearly. We’re so excited for you to explore this space, and hope to see you all very soon.
